Thousands of passengers have been thrown into travel chaos as London airspace has been closed until 6pm due to a computer failure at an air traffic control centre.
The technical problem at the centre in Swanwick, Hampshire, has already caused delays to flights travelling in UK airspace and could affect thousands of others.
Severe delays are expected to continue this evening - with the centre not set to open until 6pm, according to air traffic control company NATS.
